![]() It contains 3 titles, base game and 2 DLC. ![]() It does indeed cost almost 3 times as much as the base game.I've just had a read through the New Player Bundle product description. Speaking of irrational, you don't seem to have actually read the DLC product descriptions that are on offer in Steam. Your title 'Paradox is ABUSIVE!!!!!' completely negates any merit to your highly emotional, completely irrational post. As someone who owns most of the DLC for the game and purchased it gradually over the years, I find their DLC model to be perfectly reasonable and well-priced. Okay so I shall reply directly to your thread. I just brought the thread up because I'm interested in the gender and I'd like to know who already own the game felt about it. Cities:Skylines isn't perfect, but this is certainly not where the problems lie. $30 for a game is abusive? I'm not even going to get into detail about the fact that Paradox seems to love the modding community, whereas EA seems to hate modders almost as much as Apple does, or the fact that Paradox made 3 DLC and released them FREE of charge. Base game + After Dark + Mass Transit + Green Cities is a perfectly functional game set and it costs $30.71CAD right now. I have most of the functional DLC (I don't really care about the music ones), but ultimately I only really use about 4 of them. IMHO, You are getting a superior experience with the base game than the last Simcity which is still retailing for $29.99CAD (you need an origin account!) and originally cost almost $70CAD on release. *None* of the expansions are required, they just add flavour and depth. You're kidding, right? The starter pack you are complaining about is presently on sale for less than $25CAD, and it is on sale a few times a year.
